The incident comand post is located just outside of Oakridge below the Hills Creek Dam. Three separate wildfire complexes, Staley, Deception Creek and Middle Fork Ranger District Initial Attack, have been combined under the Deception Complex as of August 21, 2014. The Oregon Team 4 Interagency Incident Managment Team is managing the complex under the command of Brian J. Watts.

Incident Overview
The Deception Complex is managing
approximately 80 fires on the Middle Fork Ranger District on the
Willamette National Forest. On July 30, 2014 lighting ignited a series
of fire on the Middle Fork Ranger District. Another thunderstorm system
crossed the district on August 10 causing more fires. The largest fire
of the complex is the Staley Fire at 214 acres.
